1978-1985 Benny Unterschlag

Benny Unterschlag tog klubben ind i 1980erne, da han var formand i syv år fra 1978 til 1985. I 1978 blev der afholdt Europæiske Maccabimesterskaber i Håndbold i København, hvor Danmark slutter som nummer fem ud af seks lande. Hakoah har aldrig haft så mange ungdomstrænere som i disse år, da der på dette tidspunkt er hele 10 i ungdomsafdelingen. Klubben fejrer sit 55-års jubilæum med fest på Hotel Sheraton i København i 1979, mens man året efter for første gang arrangerer Maccabicup for ungdomshold, det der senere bliver til Pierre Gildesgame Tournament. I 1983 bliver Vanessa og Natasha Swerdloff udtaget til Københavs Unionhold i Bordtennis og året efter bliver de Københavnsmestre i 1984.
